MDEC, Global Citizenship and Curriculum for Excellence

MDEC is the education sector for the Third World Centre, founded with the aim 'to raise awareness and promote understanding of global concerns and to enable active global citizenship throughout the community'.

Embedding Global Citizenship across the curriculum is a key element of CfE and here at MDEC we provide teachers with the training, support and resources to build their pupils' skills and values, as well as their knowledge and understanding.

We run a range of CPD courses, offer the free loan of resources from our library and our professional support and advice, as well as the opportunity to participate in educational projects.
